Update:  Seven AMPT students selected for Lightning Round

The AMPT Center is pleased to announce that the following presentations have been selected for the Graduate Student Lighting Round at the 2nd Annual AMPT Symposium on Friday, January 22:

  • Reactive Binder Infiltration to Mitigate Distortion in Sintering Binder Jet 3D Printed Ceramics – Lynnora Grant (Ph.D. May 2022, Materials Science & NanoEngineering, May 2022)
  • Numerical Simulation of Interfacial Fluid Flow in Binder Jet 3D Printing – Josh Wagner (Mechanical Engineering, Dec. 2021)
  • Optimization of Functionally Graded Lattices for Biomedical Additive Manufacturing – Ata Babazadeh-Naseri (Ph.D. May 2021, Mechanical Engineering)
  • Thermal Spray Coating Analysis via Sparse Image Curve Methodologies – Senyo Ahadzie (Ph.D. Dec. 2024, Mechanical Engineering)
  • Energy-based Backbone Curve for Studying Full-field Dynamics of Nonlinear Jointed Systems – Debasish Jana (Ph.D. May 2022, Civil & Environmental Engineering)
  • Strain-Sensing Smart Skin for Structural Health Monitoring – Wei Meng (Ph.D. May 2022, Civil & Environmental Engineering)
  • Crosslinked Conductive Polymer Thin Film Electrode for Microbial Bioelectronics – Chia-Ping (Andy) Tseng (Ph.D. May 2022, Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering)

The original plan was to select six talks, but upon reviewing the applications, the selection committee felt that seven should be selected.  The Lightning Round takes place between 2:30 and 3:45 PM on Friday January 22.  Zoom access information for the speakers and all other Symposium registrants will be provided by email 1-2 days beforehand.
