August 11, 2022: ASM Houston Annual Seminar

The AMPT Center is pleased to host the ASM International Houston Chapter’s 2022 technical seminar on Additive Manufacturing: Achievements and Standards of a Fascinating New Technology.

The speakers at this program represent Rice, MIT, and eight different companies active in advanced industrial applications of Additive Manufacturing. For Rice students interested in potential careers in AM, or Rice researchers interested in corporate collaborations, this seminar is an excellent opportunity to learn from and connect with industry representatives.

May 18, 2022: Energy Polymer Group Technical Meeting

The AMPT Center is pleased to host the 2022 Energy Polymer Group Spring Technical Meeting at Rice University.

Founded in 1980, the Energy Polymer Group consists of about 500 members interested in all aspects of non-metallic materials in energy and environmental applications, including renewable energy, energy storage, and environmental and climate-related topics such as carbon capture. EPG has been a supportive partner of Rice Engineering for several years.

AMPT SYMPOSIA

January 22, 2021: 2nd annual AMPT Symposium

Following the successful launch of the AMPT Center in the 2019-2020 year, the 2nd annual AMPT Symposium in 2020-2021 will showcase the technical work of the AMPT Center in the past year and culminate in a generative discussion of opportunities for industry-academic collaboration in 2021 and beyond.

For the safety of all participants, the 2021 Symposium is a fully online event. Registration is complimentary.
